8 Box originally formed in 2006. The current lineup solidified when their first self-titled EP was recorded which included Jeff Johnson (vocals-guitars), Brian Culverhouse (drums) and Scott Smith (bass). This EP was originally sold exclusively at live performances.
Select tracks from the EP and many new tracks have been combined and remastered to form the new self-titled CD. The CD was released in March, 2008. It may be purchased here and also on iTunes.
The second CD, Breathing Is Currency, was released September, 2009
Still without a major label backing, their music has been declared an Internet phenomenon as mp3 and CD sales continue to soar.
8 Box would like to thank all their supporters and we're looking forward to meeting everyone on the 2010 US tour.

RadioIndy Review 8 BOX:
Modern rock band 8 Box brings you a polished, atmospheric and driving sound with their self-titled debut album. The band has a big arena-type sound with strong layered vocals and powerful choruses. The production quality is good and the arrangements are just right for the sound. The musicianship is also very good and the concept of the album is consistent throughout.
Overall, this album will remind you of some of the great sounds of early 80's new wave. There are some very creative and innovative sounds accentuating melodic themes on these tracks. Highlights include the opener "Politics and Prayer," pleasing your ears with atmospheric synths and a driving rhythm. "Even or Odd" opens with a wicked guitar riff and features a very "outside the box" arrangement. "Spotlight Fallacy" wraps up the album with a nice floating quality. If you enjoy creative new journeys into a modern rock sound, you’ll enjoy this excellent CD.
